WALKTHROUGH ON THE TERRACE The adventure begins with Orazio having to find a way to get down from the terrace. If you don't need too much help, you can talk to Pamperina and ask her advice. We pick up the PIECE OF STRING hanging from the scratching posts, the BROOM HANDLE, some PEGS from the basket and the bottle of GLUE. We use the BROOM HANDLE on the grey THINGUMMY that's in the plant pot at the top left, and then pick up the object, which is none other than a FISHING REEL. We open up the inventory and use the PIECE OF STRING on the FISHING REEL, the PEGS on the BROOM HANDLE, the GLUE on the FISHING REEL, and finally, we stick the FISHING REEL to the BROOM HANDLE. Now we use the CLOTHES-GRABBER on the clothes hanging up at the top right, and then use the remaining PEGS to join the clothes together to make a rope. THE AMBUSH Afte the cutscene, we find ourselves in a small street in the middle of the city, blocked in by a shady-looking individual. To get rid of him, we interact with the CEMENT-MIXER and take some CEMENT, and we use the CEMENT on the van's EXHAUST PIPE to make it turn hard. We through the HARDENED CEMENT at the pulley at the top right to free it, then we start up the lift by using the CLOTHES-GRABBER. THE INVESTIGATION Now Orazio has a map of Forlė, where other characters will show him new areas to explore. We open the map and go to Piazza Saffi. We talk to Aurelio and ask him for some advice. This gives us a new location on the map. Then we talk to Lavinia and ask her about the kidnappings that have happened, which gives us another location. We go to Resistance Park. Orazio introduces himself to Isabelle. We pick up the HOSEPIPE from the fountain and then go to Via delle Torri. Here we can pick up the ketchup from the table outside the bar, but not the mayonnaise, because Winston stops us from doing it. Talking to him we discover that he is looking for a bottle of mustard. We talk to Filiberto and ask him if he knows anything about the kidnappings, then whether he's heard any rumours. In doing this, we discover that there's an exhibition on at the San Domenico Museums and we get a new location on the map. We ask Filiberto exactly what he's doing, and, after we've used up all the topics of dialogue, he gives us a balloon as a present. Continuing to ask him things, we also find out that he's looking for a new and more complicated act. We go to the San Domenico museums, where we meet SalsaParilla and Delacroix. The first of these is looking for a haute cuisines dish, preferably one that's smoked, while the second can't find the right shade of orange. We use the bottle of GLUE on the HOMEMADE ORANGE, which gives us an orange bottle that could be (could be!) a bottle of MUSTARD. Then we take the SLICE OF COCONUT from the bowl of milk at the bottom right. We go back to Via delle Torri and give the MUSTARD to Winston, who can finally go home and allows us to take the MAYONNAISE. We combine the MAYONNAISE and the KETCHUP to make a very bright shade of orange. We go back to the San Domenico Museums and give the COLOUR MIX to Delacroix. To show his thanks, he gives us a METRONOME. We go back to Via delle Torri and go through the tunnel on the left. We use the BALLOON on the cable hanging from the wall on our left. Orazio automatically goes up to the rooftops to have a look and sees that the balloon attached to the cable has got stuck in the gutter of the building and that he should be able to reach it with a long object. We try to take the TV AERIAL from the roof. The people living in the flat below start to argue and Orazio puts the aerial back. We use the CLOTHES-GRABBER on the TV AERIAL and the TV carries on working normally. We go right and down to a roof where there's a group of cats. We interact with the BIG BAG to obtain some BELLOWS, then we give Kevin the METRONOME and the group give us a show. After the cutscene, we pick up the BOXING GLOVE. We go back to Orazio's house and use the BOXING GLOVE on the boot of the blue car, then use the HOSEPIPE on the GAS CYLINDERS and Polonium flies merrily away. We pick up the FISHING NET and use the TV AERIAL on the manhole cover. We go down into the sewers and get to know Agamemnon, the tapir who can't sleep. We talk to him and ask him whether we can help him in any way. We offer to help him and tell him the story of our life, starting from when Orazio was a baby, then end the dialogue with one of the odes written by Orazio. They all work, so choose any one. Agamemnon goes to sleep and then we can go forwards and use the FISHING NET on the SEAFOOD?. We come out of the sewers and go up to the rooftops, where the cat group is. We use the SEAFOOD on the smoke coming out of the flue. After a little while, we have SMOKED SEAFOOD. We go back to the San Domenico Musuems and give the SMOKED SEAFOOD to SalsaParilla. It really doesn't agree with him. We pick up the CONTAINER. We go to Via delle Torri, take the tunnel on the left and talk to Figaro. We ask him what furstyles he knows how to do, then we choose any style and end up with some GEL. If you go back out again, the GEL will dry up and have to be thrown away. For this reason, before you leave, use the GEL on the CONTAINER to keep it fresh. We go back to Resistance Park. We use the FISHING NET on the ripples in the water in the fountain, then use the BELLOWS on the pile of leaves, and finally the PRESERVED GEL on the footprint. Isabelle tells us that we need to get the evidence (the feather and the cast of the footprint) analysed by an expert in order to find whether they belong to the same bird. We go to Orazio's house and climb up to the terrace using the rope made of clothes. We use the SLICE OF COCONUT on the feeder on the perch, then we show either the FEATHER or the CAST OF THE FOOTPRINT to the toucan. Orazio goes back to tell Isabelle everything and she adds a new location to the map. We go to the statue of Icarus where there are no pigeons to be found but there are two tourists with a tour guide. We discover that the pigeons left a message for the other pigeons, but unfortunately Venus does not want to let it go. Titus suggests finding something to distract her. We go back up to the rooftops and up to the left to get back to the largest roof. We use the FISHING NET on the balloon to pull it towards us and to get the cable. Orazio ties the cable between the two roofs and calls Filiberto, suggesting that he gets the KITE for us. We go back to the statue of Icarus and give the kite to Venus, who then gives us a receipt covered in symbols. Orazio takes it to Tulio, the toucan, who deciphers it and shows us on the map where the pigeons are hiding. THE CATCH Orazio goes to the station (the map is disabled in this section), where all he finds is another cat who's dressed up in a very strange manner. He discovers this is Napoleone, his boss in the FBI. Napoleone explains to us who we need in order to get into the pigeons' hideout: a fake ID and a disguise. Plumage and a beak should be good enough. We take the BUM BAG that can be found on the stool of the photo booth. We open the inventory and examine it to discover that it contains a FOLDING NAIL FILE and some CARDS. We talk to Napoleone and ask him what we need to disguise ourselves, then we ask him where he got the FEATHERS from, and he gives us some. After that, we go back to the main dialogue and ask him if there is any standard-issue equipment for FBI agents and he gives us a WATER BOTTLE. We use the WATER BOTTLE on the bucket of glue to dilute it, then we use the FEATHERS on the bucket. After that, we use the FILE on the drainpipe to cut off a piece of it, then use the pipe on the bicycle wheel and interact with the PIPE to bend it. We show the CARDS to Napoleone, who finds one that looks like a pigeon. Now we have the plumage, beak and ID as well. Orazio finds himself at the pigeons' base and is interrogated by the guard. We tell him that we have recently moved to the city, that we come from the outskirts of the city and that we know Magnate Mags (from A Cat's Night 1). The guard lets us in and Orazio finds himself surrounded by pigones. We interact with the FIRE EXTINGUISHER to knock it over, then pick up the PLANK and the BOX that's in the trolley. We use the PLANK on the FIRE EXTINGUISHER, then open the inventory and use the FILE on the FISHING NET, then the METAL WEIGHTS on the NET, and finally the NET on the CATAPULT. Now we use the STICK on the brick that's on the roof to set off the catapult. ALLIANCES After having discovered McTruff's plan, our goal is to have meetings with the Rodent Mayor and the Dog Mayor. The map can now be used again. We go to Via delle Torri and talk to Mrs Cecilia, asking her whether we can do anything to help her, which gives us a new location. Then go to the Diego Fabbri Theatre, where, by talking to Lapo, the doorman, we discover that the Dog Mayor is only seeing actors. By pretending to be an actor, we find out that there's a problem. We ask him to tell us what the prbolem is and offer our help, which gives us a new location on the map. While still in front of the theatre, we examine the plant pot to find a SUPER-BOUNCY BALL, then talk to Stella and ask her about the CHEWING GUM to get a piece of it. Lastly, use the FBI badge on the window to open it and take the POSTER. We go to Porta Schiavonia and look at the old door on the right to find a NAIL, then we use the FILE on the CHAIN to take it. We go to the herbalist's and take the ASH from the dish in front of the stall, then we use it on the still to distill some INK. We combine the FEATHER with the INK to get a WRITING SET. We talk to Gigio about medicine for the Mayor's husband, then we ask him for information on the missing ingredients, and as a result get two new locations. We use the FILE on the copper statue on the left to obtain a PIECE OF COPPER. We go to the cloister and use the FILE on the wobbly paving stone to free it up around the edges and move it, which means we find a MAGNET. We open the inventory and use the MAGNET on the CHEWING GUM, then combine what we have got with the STICK (the remains of the fishing net). We use the STICK WITH MAGNET ON THE END with the well to collect a COIN. We go back to the herbalist's and take a POTATO from the basket, we pay with the coin and receive a free FLOWERPOT from the film The Path of the Pumpkin. We use the POTATO on the pan on the stove, then we use the NAIL and the PIECE OF COPPER on the BOILED POTATO to obtain a home-made battery. We go to the cloister and use the FLOWERPOT on the well, then we combine the CHAIN with the FLOWERPOT and Caligula gets dragged into the well. Now we collect the KALAMILIKA BUD (the flower). We go to Porta Schiavonia and use the POTATO BATTERY on the pneumatic drill, and once Lamberto has fallen into the ground, Orazio goes and tells Cecilia, who leaves us her place in the queue to meet the Rodent Mayor. We go back to Porta Schivonia for a moment to pick up the CRIKKA ROOT, then we go back to Via dell torri and look at the letter box. Now we are in the Mayor's office (does it remind you of something?), the Mayor being an old acquaintance of Orazio's. We have to talk on behalf of the fish ambassador in order to come to an agreement with the Mayor. We ask the Mayor what he suggests, then we tell him we'll take a week each and that a week never ends, after which we choose any of the options. Squirrelkins is then told of McTruff's plan and agrees to collaborate with us. We take the orange ELASTIC BAND that's above Orazio's head. We leave the office by clicking on the blue arrow at the top left. We go to Casa Fiorini and talk to Orlando, discovering that he is able to declare his feelings to Angelica. We interact with the writing on the meter to obtain a LETTER Y. We go to Diego Fabbri Theatre and give Carlos the WRITING SET and he writes a poem for Angelica on the PLAYBILL. We go back to the Fiorinis' house, we open the inventory and we use the SUPER-BOUNCY BALL on the LOVE LETTER and the Y on the ELASTIC BAND, then we load the CATAPULT with the MESSAGE ROLLED INTO A BALL. Giving the LOADED CATAPULT to Orlando, after the cutscene we get the BLUE THISTLE. We go back to the herbalist's and talk to Gigio. Now that we have all the ingredients we need to help him find the right combination for the infusion. THE COMBINATION IS: RED RED BLUE YELLOW We go back to the theatre and give the INFUSION to Lapo. At last we can talk to the Dog Mayor. Pretending to be an actor, we can persuade the Mayor to give us a part in Moby-Dick by choosing the reply "A cat in the middle of the sea...", then we suggest adding kidnappings to the story, and in this way we unmask ourselves and reveal McTruff's plans to the Mayor. BREAKING IN Now we find ourselves at the bottom of the McTruff building. We talk to Napoleone to obtain our own standard-issue WATER BOTTLE, we pick up the TAPE that is hanging out of the bin, we combine the TAPE with the WATER BOTTLE and throw the result onto the ladder on the left. The ladder comes down and, using our trusty FILE, we can cut a piece of it off. We use the IRON BAR on the grating of the duct. We find ourselves in the hall outside McTruff's office. We take the MOP on the right and the NAMEPLATE from Miss Chiff's desk. We use the MOP on the MOBILE PHONE that is to be found on the floor. We use the NAMEPLATE on the MOBILE PHONE so that Orazio can find Miss Chiff's name even though he can't read, and then call the secretary. Pretending to be McTruff, we tell him that we are hungry. Orazio puts everything back and gets onto the trolley. We take the METAL COVER and the BOTTLE OF WINE from the trolley. We try to use the METAL COVER on the laser beams. It reflects them but unfortunately it won't stay standing up. We use the BOTTLE OF WINE on the water in the fountain to get the piranha drunk and then we take the SHINY OBJECT that's at the bottom of the fountain. It turns out to be a DIAMOND RING. We use the DIAMOND RING on the bottom glass case and take the TRIBAL SCULPTURE. We now use the METAL COVER or the TRIBAL SCULPTURE on the laser beams. We examine the newspaper on the desk to find the combination for the keypad. The date is the 7th of May. We use the pannel that can be found in the lion's mouth and enter 705. FINAL CONFRONTATION We find ourselves in the pyramid that Orazio and his friends found in the first A Cat's Night game. We pick up the SCEPTRE from the pot behind us, then we go down and press the right-hand block to trigger a trap that fires a dart into McTruff's bottom. We use the SCEPTRE on the sarcophagus to tip it over. Now Orazio can climb up to the hole where the darts are fired from. We use the BOXING GLOVE on the right-hand trap to load it onto the next dart. Finally, we press the right-hand tile again to fire the glove. Congratulations, you have completed A Cat's Night 2!
